NEW AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER ISLE OF MAN AIRPORT
Destined to become a major landmark in the south of the Isle of Man is the new 33 metre high Air Traffic Control Tower for the Isle of Man Governments’ Department of Transport Airports Division. Work commenced on site in September 2008 and in early 2009 a specialist team cast the tower using the continuous slip form process. Alongside the building is a two storey building containing all offices and other operations needed for air traffic control at an International Airport.
